Samuel Lee Fudge is an acclaimed actor, writer, director, and producer whose work has garnered international recognition. He holds an M.F.A. in Performing Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and a B.A. in Film from Paine College in Augusta, GA. His screen credits include Emperor, produced by Reginald Hudlin; Genius: MLK/X, produced by Reggie Rock Bythewood and Gina Prince-Bythewood; and Nate Parker’s The Birth of a Nation. In 2023, Fudge made history as the first actor to portray Marcus Garvey in a narrative film with Mosiah—a groundbreaking project he also wrote. The film stands as the first scripted cinematic portrayal of Garvey’s life.

Marcus Mosiah Garvey, a Jamaican-born political activist and founder of the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA), is on trial in New York in 1923. Following the leadership of J. Edger Hoover & the BOI (later, the FBI), the government has charged Garvey with mail fraud in connection with selling stocks for the Black Star Line - a shipping line designed to forge a link between North America and Africa.
